Your Questions Answered
We often get asked questions from parents and carers interested in finding out more about Exemplar maths, English and reading programmes. We understand that your time is precious, so to help you make the best use of your time we’ve made a list of Frequently Asked Questions below.Exemplar is a highly structured, user friendly, online teaching system specifically created to support the UK National Curriculum.
Exemplar provides a genuine and cost-effective solution for parents to the challenge of meeting and fulfilling their child’s individual educational needs, particularly in numeracy & literacy.
Exemplar’s unique initial assessment process identifies each child’s current ability level (based upon what they actually know and don’t know), from which, their very own personalised Study Plan is created, tailored to meet their individual needs.
Exemplar then uses short video tutorials to teach each lesson, which is taught in the exact same way your children are taught in school, accessed online and from the comfort of your own home.
Exemplar provides extra supportive worksheets to further consolidate the teaching and monitors a complete and thorough understanding of each lesson, before moving onto the next.
Exemplar also provides ‘real-time’ direct access to teacher help via telephone on a freephone number or through our ‘Silverboard’ virtual classroom.
Exemplar is supported by a complete management and reporting system, for both students and parents, so that progress can be totally monitored and easily accessed.
Exemplar is all about engaging, educating and assisting children, along the path to academic success, to be the very best they can be, whatever that level may be, without any pressure or embarrassment.
At Exemplar we know every parent wants to help their child to perform well and enjoy school, but we also know for many, academic success doesn’t always come easily… Exemplar really can help.
The cost of the programme varies from family to family. The reason for this is that each programme is structured around each family’s particular circumstances. Therefore depending on the number of children in the family, their ages, current ability levels and how much, or little, of the programme is relevant for each family, the costs will vary quite considerably.
Whilst families can start as low as just over £12 per week, as a general guide, you’ll find most families are paying somewhere between £17 and £20 per week – this includes both Maths and English – for all the children in the family – this is not the cost per child. Now, depending on the family’s requirements, some families will be paying more and some will be paying less than the average. Families have the choice to purchase their programme outright, or alternatively, may choose the monthly subscription option. If you have done some research, you will have already discovered that private tutors are currently costing around £25 per hour, per subject, per child. So, if you have two children needing help with Maths and English, you can very quickly see how cost-effective the Exemplar programme is.
